Am I the Biggest Sears Promoter Worldwide on Twitter Right Now?

A few days ago, my manager decided on launching a Social Media contest. The objective is to promote our summer blowout event with as many people as possible, and boy I sure did! I haven’t exactly counted how many retweets I had of my post because I had so darn many! Of course, I did spend many hours trying to entice people into retweeting it. The incentive for me doing this was that the person with the most shares would win a $25 gift card. I won of course, and I pretty much blew everyone else at Sears Burlington out of the water! As of right now, I am on the top of the page when anyone searches for “Sears”, not just “Sears Burlington”. This means that I am the top Sears promoter in the entire nation! Imagine that!

Tweet Sears

I did have a previous tweet that had over 400 likes on it, however, I had to delete it because Sears extended the date of the promotion. It was initially set to end on the 4th. I will be posting new tweets every day. Some of these tweets will include a picture of our clearance merchandise, which is selling like hotcakes by the way! We are now down from 4 shelves to 2 shelves.

I am shooting for a goal of 10,000 retweets altogether. I hope you can help me reach that goal. Please follow me @JTheNavigator88 on Twitter, and retweet my Sears posts with as many people as you possibly can. This not only can improve my hours, but can also help Sears Burlington thrive and continue to provide a WOW member experience for everyone that shops there. This means, you won’t have to wait in long lines and you’ll get the best service guaranteed! Also, most importantly, we will always keep our doors open, without even a single threat of our store going out of business.

The next post will most likely entail what I planned to talk about on the last post in regards to my online expenses.

My THOUGHTS of the HUG Award!

Posted on

I have three words to describe this award, sickening, dreadful, depressing! I am glad to accept this award, which has been given to me by The Island Traveler. Unfortunately, because I feel that I do too much, while others don’t do enough, I can’t nominate anybody. I have to brake a few rules this time. I have no choice. Do you think anybody else feeds cupcakes to the birds like I do? I betcha that nobody does. So far, when I see the words “poverty” and “hunger” anywhere, I can’t help but just feel sad. My mom is trying to donate cupcakes to the Red Cross, but it is hard to do when the Red Cross doesn’t respond to her calls. It seems like there is always lost hope somewhere else. Nobody can sustain everybody. That’s the biggest problem in our society. Sorry, but this award goes to me and no-one else.

Alright, I have recently decided to share this award to the Island Traveler. He gave me a good reason, since he fed french fries to the seagulls. They typically eat french fries a lot, so they must have really wanted his fries. They ate them right on his plate, and I give him credit for them getting that close. I thank him for making that decision. Just for the record, seagulls have flown from beach to beach for whatever foods they eat in the wild, and for leftovers that people drop too along the way. They have an instinct of what they need to find. Seagulls are typical for that, and they’ll always be around. I don’t blame them for eating our food, I really don’t.

Here are the rules of the award:

1.  If you receive a HUG Award©, you may nominate others who also meet the guidelines for the award.

2.  Nominees may only receive the HUG Award© one time.

3.  You may nominate as many people, websites, or blogs as you want to nominate to receive the award.

4. Upon receipt of the award, you nominate at least one other person.  The award is also not time limited, so you can nominate new people or sites you encounter in the future.

5. You contact your nominees and tell them that you have nominated them for the  HUG Award©.  AND…

6.  Please link this page:  When you contact your nominees for the award, please include a link to this page,http://ahopefortoday.com/2012/01/14/hope-unites-globally-hug-award-guidelines/so they will have the same information you received about the award.  Then, they also can perpetuate the award by nominating others.  AND…

7.  Please post a comment on this page athttp://ahopefortoday.com/2012/01/14/hope-unites-globally-hug-award-guidelines/

8.  You may print a copy of the HUG Award© Guidelines for people you nominate, who do not have a website, blog, or social media account to which they can paste award and Guidelines.  If they have email, you may email them a copy of the original HUG Award© and original Hug Award©Guidelines.

Please visit http://ahopefortoday.com/2012/01/14/hope-unites-globally-hug-award-guidelines/ for more details.

It’s not like this matters, since TheIslandTraveler, which is the one who gave me this award, already mentioned the rules on his blog. If you feel that you should deserve this award, please comment on this and share any bird-feeding activities you have done in the past year. When I say bird-feeding, I mean people-food, got that? That would make me feel so much better and I will gladly pass this award to you too.

Busy Times Deserve more Blogging

This is the first post I have posted in the past month. I feel that there is a lot lost in time, because there can be so much forgotten. I visited my dad two weekends before Thanksgiving, and when I came home, I left all my thoughts behind. I don’t want to talk about anything on that. For the three days we were there, we went to downtown Boston, did archery for the first time, and went to the U-Mass Lowell campus to see my dad’s classroom where he teaches. That’s the weekend in a nutshell. I’ll leave my bird story behind. That’s what I don’t want to mention. It’ll get stuck in my head if I did that. I did mention it very briefly on one of the Island Traveler’s blogs, so you’ll find it there. I couldn’t spend time with my dad on Thanksgiving with my siblings, because my siblings had off school that week. I still had school on Tuesday, which is the reason why only my siblings went. I stayed home with my mom, which I enjoyed because I wouldn’t have to deal with them causing me any aggravation, especially with my youngest brother. After that, it’s all been finals for me with school. I was either studying for school or I was helping my mom with her shop. Needless to say, it’s been at least a month since I even read any blogs.

What in the World is a Liebster Award Exactly?

A Liebster Award is something that bloggers award for the holiday season. It is a “gift” to anyone whom you think deserves it for the dedication they put for through their blogs. The mentioned blogger must have less than 200 followers, and I’m sure there is a minimum to the amount of blog posts they have as well.

The “Rules”:

Well, I sort of have to put this in, but here’s a quick checklist of how things are done to figure out how to award someone:

1) Thank the fellow blogger who awarded it to you.
2) Link back to the said blogger who shared the award.
3) Post the award on your blog.
4) Pick 5 other blogs you want to recognise.
5) Visit the 5 bloggers and let them know that they receive the award.

I really encourage that anyone who is mentioned in here to keep these rules handy. I’ll be checking too. I’m not going to break any rules either, just to keep us even. I’ll announce the winners.

The Awardees Are:
